We didn't even ask, they just sent this over on a plane straight from Santagata as a gesture to a longtime VW customer. My son asked if there were any Ferraris and I had to reply "No, son, Ferrari hates kids. Now let us never speak of this again."
(jk, this was an exhibit at an annual city expo earlier today. And there really was a Ferrari 458 in blue just to the left)

I bet you stole that kid just for the pic and the joke, didn't you?

Seriously though, I've never received so icy a glare as when I walked into a Ferrari dealership. They really made me feel as though I didn't belong when I walked in. I awkwardly shuffled around for a few minutes before leaving.
I've been to Lamborghini Toronto (When it was there.) and Lamborghini London and I've always been warmly welcomed and encouraged to take pictures. This is what makes the difference. At Ferrari I've never felt welcome, at Lamborghini (And McLaren too!) I've always felt like a potential customer.

When My friend went to Lamborghini Bellvue they didn't even let him in, but when we went to our local Ferrari dealer they were really nice and friendly.

I stopped by the Bentley dealer in Zionsville, Indiana and felt more welcome then a Mercedes dealer in Dayton, OH. I had the money for a Benz and was treated dumb. I didn't have Bentley money and I had to convince the salesman to not let me test drive it.

The Ferrari dealer in Newport Beach, CA was really nice to me. And I had shorts and a t shirt on and told them I'm not ready to buy yet.
I guess it all depends on the dealer and the sales guy.

Exactly and this is what frustrates the hell out of me. Whether you can purchase a car or not, salesmen should at least acknowledge your existence and make an effort to talk to you. I can't tell you how many wealthy people I know that have gone into dealerships in just jeans and t-shirts. You should't have to dress up or kiss ass just to get quality service.
Sorry for the rant but this topic gets me pretty upset.

When I was 12 years old I went camping with my family in Italy. Somehow I figured out we were close to the Lamborghini factory and I, somehow, convinced my family to go there.
This was a few years after Audi had bought them and the Gallardo had just been revealed. (There was a decent amount of audis in the carpark I remember).
We could also see a fancy glass building with lots of old lambos inside.
When we got in, we went to the front desk and asked if we could see the museum, the lady at the desk asked us if we had an appointment and we just stared blankly at her. For some reason the lady took pity on us, picked up her phone, spoke some. Italian and five minutes later a very stylish Italian man (in a suit, of course) appeared.
He then led us to the collection and apart from all the awesome cars, which of course caused massive amounts of drool, there was also a window where you could look down and see the factory floor. I clearly remember looking down at these men walking around and assembling these awesome cars.. And then I heard it.. The roumble, the thunder.. A murcielago had stopped just outside the museum windows and the guy inside was revving the engine hard and waved at me.
I think I spend at least an hour there gawking at the cars while the stylish Italian man waited and chatted with my parents. On the way out he gave me a pair of Lamborghini cuff links and some others lambo gear.
It was an awesome day and unfortunately I don't think stuff like this happens to much anymore
The cuff links are next to me in my drawer.
It's good to hear about all the nice lambo dealers.. I certainly prefer them to the F-word.

I didn't steal him, but on most days I'd probably just let you have him. I don't know if that counts. But then I'd miss out on all the random pirate/cowboy moments that make it all worthwhile.
(Picwhoring to help prove he's mine!)
